Kids & Youth Program Head Coach • Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Madison “Maddie” Wolfe represents a special part of the Soul Fighters story: a student who grew up through the youth program and developed into a world-class athlete, black belt, and coach herself.
Maddie began training and competing for Soul Fighters at the age of 13 and quickly established herself as one of the leading young female Jiu-Jitsu competitors in Texas.

Her journey
As she progressed from the youth divisions into adult competition, Maddie continued building an exceptional competitive career. Between the ages of 17 and 20, she captured four World Championship titles, establishing herself as an accomplished international-level athlete.
Maddie received her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt in December 2023 and is now a 1st-degree black belt.
Her development has been closely connected to Professor Bruno “Tank” Mendes, who has taught and mentored her directly throughout her Jiu-Jitsu journey. From young competitor to black belt and instructor, Maddie became one of Tank’s protégés and a direct continuation of his teaching philosophy and coaching methodology.

Teaching the next generation
In Tank’s words:
“Maddie teaches just like me. She reminds me of myself as a coach and professor.”
Since 2024, Maddie has served as Kids & Youth Program Head Coach at Soul Fighters Allen. She combines technical instruction with the perspective of someone who personally experienced the entire journey—from being a young student and competitor to becoming a World Champion, black belt, and professional coach.
She teaches students not only the technical fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but also shares the lessons and experience gained through years of high-level competition while reinforcing the discipline, confidence, respect, attention, and character that form the foundation of the Soul Fighters youth program.
Her ability to understand young athletes from both the student’s and coach’s perspectives makes Maddie an invaluable part of the Soul Fighters coaching team and an important influence on the next generation of students and competitors.
